## About this course.







The course is designed for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. This qualification reflects the role of community service workers who provide person-centred support to individuals, groups, and communities.

Throughout this course, you will develop the skills and knowledge required to deliver quality care, advocacy, and intervention services across a range of community settings. You will learn how to work autonomously within established guidelines while also gaining experience in supervising others.

## What will you study?







Our Certificate IV in Community Services comprises 7 core units and 8 elective units. These units will provide you with the knowledge and skills to effectively work within the community.

- CHCCOM002 Use communication to build relationships

## Work Placement





									**Overview**

As part of our qualification you’re required to complete 80 hours of work placement on weekdays. Placements are generally full-time (80 hours in total) and are completed on weekdays, which not only allows you an opportunity to develop learnt skills but also valuable industry experience and could lead to employment opportunities.

We have long standing relationships with several facilities and organisations. If you require assistance arranging work placement, we can connect you with an employer. 

**Working with Children Check**

**National Police Check and NDIS Check**

A National Police Check and NDIS Check are both required for anyone who works or volunteers in care positions in NSW. This qualification assists people to secure work in community services, the variety of roles available upon completion of this course is vast. Students have the opportunity to select electives to suit their chosen industry or personal goals.

Entry Requirements

- There are no entry requirements.
- It is encouraged that students are over 18 years of age, if a student is under the age of 18, guardian / parental consent is required.
- Students must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or applicable visa holder.
- Students must have a sound knowledge of English language, literacy, and numeracy LLN (this information is obtained at the enrolment process, prior to enrolment acceptance by h&h).

To complete this course you’ll need (depending on work placement / current employment industry):** 
- A valid Working With Children Check or;
- A valid National Police Check or;
- A valid NDIS Check.

**Tuition Fees**

All our fees are payable either in installments (we never take more than $1,500 at any one time) or in interest free weekly instalments of $75.

*All h&h courses/qualifications are nationally recognised. The issuing of testamurs requires compliance with all processes. When competency has been achieved, students will be issued with a Qualification or Statement of Attainment (SOA) within 28 days of college staff receiving the finalised student file.*
